Personal Website Design Most internet providers provide you with Web space on their main computer system so that you can create your own personal website. You can program the website with a computer language called HTML but that can get pretty complicated. You can also go to www.pageproducer.com. That website can help you to create a fairly simple personal website for doing things like publishing your pictures or posting your resume. The most popular way to design a website is to use FrontPage 2000 which is sold by Microsoft. You can also use a free version called FrontPage Express but it is fairly limited in its capabilities. However, you can do a pretty good website with pictures and e-mail links using that free program. FrontPage Express is an optional component included with Internet Explorer 5. If you don't want to use FrontPage then you will need to use another program such as DreamWeaver or you will need to write your own HTML or another website design computer language. Once you've created a Web page, you will need to "FTP" the Web content into your Web directory on your ISP's computer system. Click here for ftp instructions. Note: You don't need to use "ftp" if you are using FrontPage 98 or FrontPage 2000. Those programs enable you to edit your website directly on your ISP's computer system.
